Today, the team at Guenard & Bozarth pauses alongside our community and the entire nation to observe Patriot Day and reflect on the tragic events of September 11, 2001.

More than two decades later, the profound impact of that morning remains etched in our collective memory. We remember the 2,977 innocent individuals -mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, colleagues, and friends – whose lives were cut short in New York City, Shanksville, Pennsylvania, and the Pentagon. We also remember the many survivors, families, and rescue workers who continue to carry physical and emotional burdens from that fateful day.

In the face of unimaginable devastation, September 11th also showed us the very best of humanity:

• The First Responders: Firefighters, police officers, emergency medical technicians, and ordinary citizens who ran toward danger to save others, exemplifying the highest form of selflessness and bravery.
• The Spirit of Unity: Neighbors helping neighbors across California, throughout the United States, and across the globe, united in empathy and shared resolve.
• The Lasting Resilience: Communities that rebuilt and families that persevered, carrying the legacies of their lost loved ones forward with dignity and strength.

As trial advocates dedicated to serving the communities of Elk Grove, Sacramento, and Northern California, our work is grounded in the principles of accountability, justice, and standing up for individuals and families during their most challenging hours. On days of reflection like today, we are reminded of the power of community solidarity and the vital importance of looking out for one another.
