The moment you see them you likely already know. You see them running red lights, exceeding the speed limit, swerving in and out of traffic on the freeway, texting while driving and violating posted right of ways. Behaviors like this are what led Quotewizard to post that California has some of the worst drivers in the state. Quotewizard, a division of LendingTree arrived at the worst drivers in the nation list after assessing the 70 largest cities in America and then ranking them by the quality of drivers.
The Quotewizard annual report looks at such things like insurance quotes, number of speeding tickets given per capita, accidents and DUI arrests. Bakersfield was ranked as having the worst drivers in the state with the Sacramento region finishing a close second. The Sacramento rating saw a large jump from last year where we were ranked in seventh place. A total of eight California cities made the list including Richmond, San Francisco and San Diego.
According to the survey the best drivers are in Louisville Kentucky which led the pack in good drivers. Louisville improved on their 2021 ranking where they finished in sixth place. If you’ve been impacted by one of the drivers referenced in this report our office may be able to help.
