As a nation we are eating in restaurants more than anyone could have predicted 20 years ago. Most of us remember the Chipotle scare when hundreds were taken ill after an outbreak of the bacteria Clostridium Perfringens which forms after food is handled incorrectly or becomes too warm to safely serve. Now we are faced with a different form of food issues from Taco Bell.
According to Fox News a customer found metal shavings in a menu item and when the company researched the source they issued a recall that blanketed 21 states in all. The company informed the U. S. Department of Agriculture about the recall which was voluntarily ordered on October 11, 2019. This resulted in menu item shortages in the affected states and the company wasn’t certain when the products would be available again.
With the change in Americas eating habits finding metal shavings or metal fragments shouldn’t shock the consumer. When a piece of metal brakes off in a food product such as hamburger and that product is being sent to multiple locations the problem might go undiscovered for weeks. Even though the company didn’t discover the problem they are still responsible.
We are aware of a local case against Del Taco where a man was eating a steak quesadilla and he bit down on a blade fragment and that bite shattered a molar. This man found and retained the blade segment and as a result Del Taco quickly settled the case and the tooth was repaired. As this example shows metal pieces in food can cause serious damage to teeth and if swallowed can damage internal organs. If you or a loved one has been injured or made sick from eating contaminated food we can help.

Never in my life did I think I would recommend an attorney. Somehow God sent this angel of an attorney to assist me in my personal injury lawsuit. I was told by lawyers in Bakersfield that my lawsuit was frivolous because there was money in it.
