Special Forces Communications Sergeant John Wayne Walding is a decorated Army veteran who was literally born on the fourth of July. He served in Iraq and Afghanistan and earned the Silver Star, Bronze Star and Purple Heart. He sustained major injuries in a firefight in 2008. Despite the injuries he sustained he continued to fight for four more hours until he was extricated.

Walding lost his leg and received a traumatic Brain Injury as a result of that firefight. He later became a Certified Green Beret Sniper Instructor. In February 2020 he was filling his truck with gasoline instead of the required diesel and did not realize the error until it was too late. He admits he sometimes makes mistakes and knows he sometimes has memory issues as a result of the trauma. He wondered if his USAA auto insurance policy would cover the mistake he made. USAA says in their advertising that they cater to veterans and their families.

After he inquired on the USAA app as they recommend he was assured that the $9000 in damages would be covered after the repairs were made. After the repair was paid for USAA refused to pay the bill in spite of a screenshot from his USAA phone app that told him to “fix the truck and we’ll take care of the rest.” An outside expert who specializes in USAA claim tactics says the USAA attorneys are working on billable hours and would rather fight the case than settle. Two local attorneys are representing Sergeant Walding at no cost. We wish Sergeant Walding and every person serving our nation the best.

We represent people who are injured because of the careless and reckless acts of others.  At the end of the day your case can only be settled one time and you need to know all of the facts beforehand. The reason that insurance companies have paid our clients in excess of $140,000,000.00 is that we get the facts and are not intimidated at the prospect of going to trial when insurance companies fail to offer full compensation. We help with serious injuries that require serious representation. We are the Law Offices of Guenard & Bozarth, LLP. Our attorneys have more than 60 years of experience specializing in only representing injured people. Call GB Legal 24/7/365 at 888-809-1075 or visit We would be honored to represent you!

Never in my life did I think I would recommend an attorney. Somehow God sent this angel of an attorney to assist me in my personal injury lawsuit. I was told by lawyers in Bakersfield that my lawsuit was frivolous because there was money in it.

I live in Elk Grove where we don’t always have a lot of choices. Lawyers are one area where we have few good choices. I wanted to work with a local law firm after my motorcycle accident, and I chose Glenn Guenard and Ross Bozarth.
