If you’ve been paying attention at all you know that the semi-popular website Ashley Madison was recently hacked. This website is devoted to people who want to actively practice marital infidelity and infidelity is something that the individuals that hacked the website are not fans of, or so it would appear.

This is another great example of the downside of poor behavior on the internet. Any place you go leaves what is called a digital footprint and you can bet that at the worst possible time you will be followed and your behavior chronicled for later by someone you least want to have find out. In the case of the Ashley Madison followers the people who will initially find out will be angry spouses and later the divorce attorney that the angry spouse hires. This specific issue has even become an issue for a Presidential Candidate who has web managers at their disposal and even they cannot outrun the reality of the digital world.

This information being revealed can leave behind collateral damage in the way of children and once loving spouses and that’s never good. When a personal injury client is discovered on the internet it shows up in a far less covert manner in the form of a post on Facebook, Instagram or one of the other social media sites. We have read posts from the clients of other attorneys that were quoted about the level of pain they were in at their doctors office at 2 in the afternoon that were bragging at midnight about how much fun they had at the nightclub dancing. This is discovered on sites that are private and it doesn’t go well when uncovered!          Pay attention whenever you are on the internet and just assume that a parent or grandparent is sitting over your shoulder and ask yourself if they would approve.

Never in my life did I think I would recommend an attorney. Somehow God sent this angel of an attorney to assist me in my personal injury lawsuit. I was told by lawyers in Bakersfield that my lawsuit was frivolous because there was money in it.

I live in Elk Grove where we don’t always have a lot of choices. Lawyers are one area where we have few good choices. I wanted to work with a local law firm after my motorcycle accident, and I chose Glenn Guenard and Ross Bozarth.
